Palmer Family:

The Palmer family has lived in Camrose since December 2001 when the house they constructed was completed , before that the family lived on the out skirts of the nearest major town Haverfordwest.  The land on which the farm was built has been owned by the Palmer family since he late 1980’s and was historically call “Oxlands”. This became the name of the small holding, and when the house was build it was chosen as the name of the property.  If you haven’t already guessed by now it was also the inspiration for the name of this website.

The Palmer family currently consists of Morwel and Beverly (Bev) Palmer and their daughter Teleri and son Geraint,  Morwel and Bev are retired Head Teachers.

Teleri is also a teacher, she studied at the University of Bangor after which she spent several year living and teaching in North Wales before moving back to Pembrokeshire to teach, in 2006 Teleri officially became a James. Teleri and her husband Mike moved into their own farm Tresiencyn about 10 miles from Oxlands near the village of Mathry.

Geraint is the only member of the family to have left Pembrokeshire and not yet return, he has lived in Birmingham since going to University in the city in 2000 he now lives with his girlfriend Kate in the City Center.  He runs his own Design Agency “Two Thirds Design” with two partners in the Heart of Birmingham City Center.  Dispite living over 4hours way Geraint tries to visit Pembrokeshire as often as possible.

Site History:

www.oxlands.co.uk was first Launched in May 2005, the orginal site can now be found here version 1.

In early 2009 we began a much overdue revamp of the site.  The originally aim was to replacing static html pages with a simple content management system to streamline the update process and increase the day to day use of the site by simplifying the content creation process.

However as the update proceeded the opportunity to revamp the whole site was too tempting voila version 2 was born in August 2009.
